Melody Divine is President and co-founder of the PIER (Private-Sector Innovation, Education & Research) Institute, where she leads the religious freedom, anti-human trafficking, and international security programs. Ms. Divine also served as Middle East and Counterterrorism Advisor, and Counsel and Foreign Policy Advisor to Members of the U.S. Congress in Washington D.C. As advisor on judiciary, foreign policy, human rights, religious freedom, counterterrorism, and national security issues, she worked on developing policy, strategic communication, and legislative action for the offices.
Prior to her work in our nation’s capital, she practiced commercial litigation and attorney ethics at Burns, Figa & Will, P.C.
Ms. Divine serves on the leadership teams for both Prayer Force and Global Family, where she desires to reignite every believer’s call to prayer and equip the Body of Messiah to engage fully in what the Lord is doing.
Ms. Divine obtained her J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law and her B.A. in Sociology/Urban Studies from Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL. She also had the pleasure of attending the University of Nairobi, Kenya studying comparative natural resources law and comparative constitutional law.
